Dr. Jeanette De Witt is the owner of De Witt Physical Therapy & Wellness, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training as a University Scholar from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH in 1996. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy from Allegheny University of Health Sciences in Philadelphia, PA in 1998. She completed five examinations and a research project to earn her Certification in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy in 2012. Later that year, she returned to her academic studies while continuing to practice full-time. Dr. Jeanette received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA in 2014. She is a native of Cincinnati, OH and moved to Kenosha, WI with her family in February 2012.
Dr. Jeanette has practiced in both hospital-based and private outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practices. She opened De Witt Physical Therapy & Wellness, LLC in 2015 to serve the Kenosha and Racine Communities with a practice of “well-care” instead of “sick-care.” With her 19 years of experience treating a variety of patients from 6 months old to 98 years old, Dr. Jeanette helps people in Southeastern Wisconsin get back to doing what they love without painkillers even if other treatments, including surgery, have failed. Her mission is to empower people to make better decisions about their health and brighten the day of anyone who walks through her door. She is passionate about teaching how physical therapy is a natural alternative to opioid/pain medication and how exercise can be used as medicine to prevent many chronic diseases like asthma, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
Dr. Jeanette celebrates her 12-year marriage to Joel De Witt. He is the Director of Mental Health with Armor Correctional at the Milwaukee County Jail and Franklin House of Correction. Yes, her husband goes to jail every day AND comes home every day, too! Their two daughters, Lydia (age 8) and Madelyn (age 7) attend Christian Life School. Dr. Jeanette also acts as Assistant Coach for Cross Country and Track at Christian Life School. Their family attends First Christian Church in Kenosha and enjoys family fun time by playing board games, watching Star Wars movies, visitng the Kenosha County local parks and Six Flags Great America.
