The KAC – Kenosha Achievement Center, Inc
I grew up in New Berlin and moved to Milwaukee to pursue my degree in Education. While attending college I met my husband and was married one month after graduating with my bachelor’s degree. My husband’s job brought us to Kenosha in 1989.
While running a childcare facility in Milwaukee, I completed my Master’s degree in Leadership and Advocacy at National Louis University. I continued my work with young children through the Birth – 3 program and joined the KAC team in 1998. My intention in 98’ was to establish the B-3 program at KAC then get a “real” job in corporate America. Now, 18 years later, I am KAC’s Chief Executive Officer. Needless to say, I found my niche working on behalf of people with special needs. I am proud to be part of a team whose mission is to remove barriers, change perceptions and build confidence. Our goal is that people regardless of ability are given opportunities for personal growth and success.
