Big Brothers Big Sisters
Ashleigh Henrichs grew up in central Illinois and it wasn’t until she spent a summer in Chicago after college that she realized she is a city girl at heart. Ashleigh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Ripon College, a Master’s in writing from DePaul University and has taken courses in fundraising techniques through the School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Ashleigh spent 14 years with Thomson Financial Media, beginning as their receptionist right out of college and working her way up to advertising sales manager of an insurance industry trade publication. Upon moving to Kenosha in 2002, Ashleigh’s career focus shifted to the non-profit sector. She has a lengthy background in nonprofit administration and has held leadership positions at organizations including the Kenosha Literacy Council, A Safe Place and Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE). In January 2015, Ashleigh joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties as its Executive Director. She has a passion for helping children, encouraging a love of literacy and reading and giving back to the community.
